More points in the Bag towards 2013 Lakeside Qualification. Lakeside World Championships 2012 Scotty’s game against Martin Adams saw the Lakeside Champion progress into Round 2 after a 3 sets Victory over Scotty. A game in which Scotty missed some chances in the first set after both players were missing chances at doubles, but failed to capitalise. Wolfie went onto take the second set with  2 Ton+ checkouts and an 81 with Scotty poised near doubles. The 3rd set saw Scotty mount a comeback from 2 legs behind and was left needing a 136 outshot, which Scotty narrowly missed to stay in the Match. Scotty would like to thank everyone for their support and encouragement. Zuiderduin Masters 2011 Scotty made it through his group with Wins over Remon Hurrebrink (5-3) and Robbie “Kong” Green (5-1) Scotty went onto play Martin “Wolfie” Adams in a dress rehearsal for Lakeside. Scotty was very unlucky to lose out 3 -2 (Sets) in a very closely fought game. Scott went 2 sets behind 3-2, 3-2  and then went onto win the next 2 sets 2-3, 2-3 with a fantastic 12 dart leg to take the 4th Set with shots of 100 122 177 and 102 out. Wolfie went onto take the 5th Set 3-1 and progress into todays Semi Final. Scotty’s Average was 28.98 (86.95) The Live Stream can be found here: http://www.rtvnh.nl/live/tv CentreParcs Masters 2011 This Weekend saw the CentreParks Masters in Belgium, a Tournament which Scotty won last Year. Again, Scotty had a great run and had to get past some notable players to progress into the Semi Final. He started the Competition off with 2 4-0 Victories over Kevin Vermeulen(Belgium) and Guido Delien (Bel). Scotty then won 4-1 v PAscal Rabau (Bel) in the Last 64 and progressed into the Points placings. The Last 32 saw a match against former World Champion John “Boy” Walton, in which Scotty came out on top 4-1. In the Last 16, Scotty had to play Last Years Lakeside Finalist Dean “Over the Top” Winstanley and managed to win that game 4-2. In the Quarter Final Scotty had play Scottish International Ross “The Boss” Montgomery and again came out on top with a 5 -3 Victory in only the second meeting of the two players. In the Semi Final Scotty played Robbie “Kong” Green in the best of 3 Sets, with Scotty losing out 2 -1 in sets. 20 points towards Lakeside 2013 and one of the 12 Boxes filled. A few missed doubles and some great finishing from Martin Adams currently 3 times World champion and the dream gone for another year. The harsh reality for me is the 12 months hard graft travelling was over in 27 minutes. It was the draw I wanted feeling being the underdog tag would help me. Had I not run Martin close in Zuiderduin Masters on tv a month ago, I think it would have. Those who know me should know I'm not a doom and gloom merchant when i’ve lost, so will try to take positives from a match, so the missed 130 in the penultimate leg pressured Martin on double for him to win the match, which he missed. I then missed double 5 leaving 5, I hit big number 1 and double 2 under that pressure is positive for me. The 136 to save the match, to hit the 2 treble 20s again to give me a chance to save match for 2nd time under the pressure pleased me too. Also for a player with the magnitude of such a game, until you watch the match back, your feeling is you have played a whole lot worse than you actually have because you've lost. Despite the outcome of the match, the Lakeside fans are fantastic and don't allow you to be down for long. I will return on and off for the rest of the week as a fan to support my dart playing family, who will all be doing their best to provide genuine entertainment to genuine dart fans. Scotty.
